Why You Should Try TheFitLife Resistance Bands

1.They are good for travel. Small, light and flexible, they can be tucked away anywhere—including your handbag or gym bag! Take them to the office, put them in a suitcase, run them upstairs or downstairs; resistance bands are easy.

2.They increase coordination. Because there's tension throughout the exercises, you have to stabilize your body. This helps with coordination and balance and it also helps you involve more muscle groups.

3.They add variety. With weights, you're often limited as to how many exercises you can do. But, the resistance band allows you to change your positioning in multiple ways. This changes how your body works and how an exercise feels.

4.They're inexpensive. You can stuff them under the bed, in a suitcase or just about anywhere, making them a versatile piece of equipment.

5.They're great for all fitness levels. Depending on how you use them, bands can be great for beginners as well as more advanced exercisers.

These bands are sturdy and well made, and they definitely do provide the advertised resistance, which was the main reason I rated 5 stars. I used other 150 lb or 200 lb resistance bands, finally I found the weight number on those bands were a joke. They said 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, but all of them were not accurate. Even the resistance on the 50 lbs was no where near 50 lbs and felt more like 10-15 lbs. As soon as I received these bands, I checked the resistance level of each band by a luggage scale. All of them met the resistance they advertised. The handles are cool and large and the bands are strong. The carabineers are larger, sturdier and easier to link than the sets I bought before. In summary, These are great value and exceeded my expectations.

I am a US-expatriate living in a small apartment in Korea. These resistance bands work well when we do not have room for large exercise machines. The rubber bands provide steady increase in resistance when pulling and gradual decrease of resistance when relaxing the bands. This eliminates any injury related to picking up heavy weights which can pull muscles. I immediately replaced the provided carabiners with heavy steel ones from a local hardware store for only about $1.40 each. I purchased ten carabiners and I replaced their wimpy carabiners and also use a few zip-ties to attach carabiners to various points high or low for quick attachment of the bands. I utilized several holes that were drilled for internet cable connection through the patio door frame and this worked well to attach the carabiners so I can hook up the bands instantly. The low connection point works well when doing curls with the handles and I also used the ankle attachments to pull the bans on either side of the vertical axial of my office chair while sitting down to exercise my legs. I discarded Fit-Life instructions and use my own setup. For example, I do not stand on the rubber tubes as they suggest because the shoe soles can cut the soft rubber bands. I used the 40lb band on one handle then combined a 15lb and 25lb to create another 40lbs of resistance for the other handle. The 10lb and 20lb bands seemed to be too weak to provide useful resistance but I folded them in half over the provided door-attachment and thus a 10lb and 20lb makes 30lb and folded in half it creates a 60lb resistance force that was very effective. I tried heavy dumbbells with no results but these resistance bands worked well and I could feel my biceps swelling up under the exercise. I can also attach carabiners with zip-ties to anything like a horizontal bar, or a fence post or tree branch or railing for outdoor use. I have been using them inside however to avoid damage of the rubber by UV light. The 10lb and 20lb bands seemed to light for me but these might be ideal for elderly people who need to tone their muscles to avoid injury. A person who is out of shape can even injure themselves just rolling over in the bed! I do an hour mountain-hiking everyday but I was in need of upper body exercise and these resistance bands were just perfect. I was going to make my own but happened to come across these for sale on Amazon and they were complete with handles and attachment points and I could not make them this cheap myself. I follow my own methods but this kit has everything “complete” to make a useful and effective exercise system that is portable and can be used outdoors or inside. I would love to bring this on my next international flight and attach them (using the ankle attachments) to the airline seat frame in front of me. I could then quietly exercise my upper body while seated in my plane seat or even do my legs by the emergency exit when other people are sleeping. I spent over $300.00 on a Total Gym but these resistance bands seem to work better and they do not take up any room. We have no room in our small apartment to set up a Total Gym or other large exercise equipment so these resistance bands are an ideal solution. There is nothing better for the price and more effective than this. I really improved it with the upgraded carabiners and I look forward to trying this on the plane (if that is permissible with the airline people).
